Nota: in italiano si usa in modo ambiguo il termine timone, cioè viene usato per due dispositivi meccanici distinti (la ruota del timone ruotata dal timoniere e la pala del timone che serve per dare la direzione alla barca), mentre in inglese esistono due nomi differenti "ship's wheel" e "rudder".

Note: In Italian we use the term ambiguously helm, that is used for two distinct mechanical devices (the ship's wheel turned by the helmsman and the rudder blade which serves to give direction to the boat), while in English there are two different names "ship's wheel" and "rudder".
